As a vocalist, percussionist, composer, and pioneer of live electronics, Moss forged a singular artistic identity by blending improvisation, noise, groove, theatrical performance, and unconventional song structures into a sound unlike anything else of its era.

After establishing himself within New York's Downtown improvisation scene, Moss assembled the David Moss Dense Band to create music that embraced rhythmic drive without abandoning sonic experimentation. Working alongside legendary guitarist, producer, and experimental innovator Fred Frith, the sessions fused free improvisation with meticulous studio craftsmanship, resulting in an album that remains simultaneously raw, inventive, and surprisingly danceable.
