The pianist David Quigley has a growing reputation as a leading pianaist of the younger generation and is firmly established on the international circuit, having performed in many of the world's greatest concert halls. This includes recitals at the Philharmonie Cologne, the Concertgebow in Amsterdam, Symphony Hall in Birmingham, Musikverein Vienna, Mozarteum Salzburg, Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussels, National Concert Hall Athens, The Wigmore Hall London, Konserthaus Stockholm and Carnegie Hall in New York. Having been appointed to the faculty of the University of Birmingham, he has also founded the Birmingham International Piano Academy, a summer school for talented pianists.The composers he has chosen Phillip Hammond, Alan Mills, Eibhlis Farrel, Deirdre McKay and David Byers represent outstanding Irish voices from several generations.
