A tributre album to the late, great Davy Steele.

Davy Steele was one of Scotland’s best loved singer songwriters. 2011 marks the 10th Anniversary of Davy’s death and to celebrate his life and bring his work into new focus, Davy’s widow Patsy Seddon has collected together all 37 of Davy’s songs for a song-book. For this album Patsy invited some of Davy’s favourite singers and musicians to choose and interpret a selection of his songs, to be performed live at Celtic Connection 2011 and to be released on CD. The singers are: Andy M. Stewart, Dick Gaughan, Ian McCalman, Jamie Steele (Davy’s youngest son), Karine Polwart, Kate Rusby, Kathy Stewart, Patsy Seddon, Sally Barker and Siobhan Miller, plus musicians Andy Thorburn, Mary MacMaster, Eilidh Shaw, and Mairearad Green, Donald Hay and Gary West. A remarkable and unique tribute to Davy.
