The foundational U.S. debut of French avant-garde visionary Delphine Dora.

Delphine Dora's 2005 album Blablabla serves as an important document in the French composer, pianist, and vocalist's discography and it remains a foundational entry point into her universe. Released by Abaton Book Company in 2006 the CD marked her debut in the United States. The album consists of 19 short, untitled vignettes, haunting wordless vocalizations, whispers, and spontaneous improvisations. The album provided U.S audiences with an initial glimpse into her unclassifiable, deeply intuitive approach to sound, one that straddles the lines of avant-garde composition, free-form improvisation, modern classical, field recordings, and experimental folk. Since the release of Blablabla, Dora has established a significant presence within Europe's experimental music scene. Over the past two decades, her prolific output has appeared on prestigious underground labels such as Okraïna, Fort Evil Fruit, Feeding Tube Records as well as through her own imprint, Wild Silence. Whether performing solo or alongside international improvisers, her music continuously bridges poetic songcraft with experimental abstraction.
