Die Sektor - Applied Structure In A Void (CD)
Release Date: 06/14/11
For fans of enigmatic American electro-industrial outfit DIE SEKTOR, it has been a long 4 year wait since the release of their impressive debut âTo Be Fed Upon (2006). âApplied Structure In A Voidâ is the eagerly-anticipated follow-up: and the first material to feature the return of original member Daniel Gant and new member Edwin Alter, joining forces with core members Scott Denman and Alan Smith. Mastered by world-renowned sound engineer Brian âBig Bassâ Gardner (DR. DRE, KMFDM, NINE INCH NAILS), âApplied Structure In A Voidâ is a diverse, powerful and accomplished piece that reflects the years of work spent crafting it. Retaining the epic song-structures familiar from âTo Be Fed Uponâ, âApplied Structure In A Voidâ marks a new maturity in the development of DIE SEKTORâs sound - placing less emphasis on distorted vocals and EBM beats in favour of more thoughtful (even experimental) arrangements that incorporate elements from a wide spectrum of musical genres. With âApplied Structure In A Voidâ, as ever, DIE SEKTOR continue to adhere to their declared aim of producing âpowerful, emotional and innovative electronic musicâ. Originally formed as a duo by Gant and Denman in 2002, DIE SEKTOR were quickly signed to leading German harsh-EBM label NoiTekk following the self- release of their 5-track demo âScraping The Fleshâ in 2004. The acclaimed debut album âTo Be Fed Uponâ, mastered by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN), was released by NoiTekk in 2006 â' and later by Russian label Gravitator in 2007. Subsequently DIE SEKTOR have remixed several high-profile artists in the electro-industrial scene including DAWN OF ASHES, GRENDEL, and most recently ALIEN VAMPIRES (DWA/Alfa Matrix), CEDIGEST (DWA/NoiTekk) and DETROIT DIESEL (DWA/Infacted). âApplied Structure In A Voidâ will be released simultaneously by COP International in North America, NoiTekk in Europe and by DWA in Asia-Pacific Recommended if you like: Hocico, Suicide Commando, SITD
