Retaining the epic song-structures familiar from “To Be Fed Upon”, “Applied Structure In A Void” marks a new maturity in the development of DIE SEKTOR’s sound - placing less emphasis on distorted vocals and EBM beats in favour of more thoughtful (even experimental) arrangements that incorporate elements from a wide spectrum of musical genres. Originally formed as a duo by Gant and Denman in 2002, DIE SEKTOR were quickly signed to leading German harsh-EBM label NoiTekk following the self- release of their 5-track demo “Scraping The Flesh” in 2004.
