During the mid-18th century, Johann Adolf Hasse enjoyed an exceptionally high reputation across Europe as a composer. A very self-confident nine-year-old Mozart proclaimed he would one day 'become as immortal as Handel and Hasse'. Together with the Elbipolis Baroque Orchestra Hamburg, the flutist Imme-Jeanne Klett presents a selection of works composed by the composer for her instrument.
