Lusafrica releases a deluxe vinyl version of Elida Almeida's album Di Lonji this spring 2024. This limited edition will include a new track entitled 'Estanhadinha'. Elida's cover of Cesaria Evora's 1991 album 'Mar Azul'.

With Di Lonji, 'From far away', her fifth album, Elida Almeida measures the distance she has traveled since her beginnings... And offers a
vibrant ode to her roots, to the small archipelago that gave birth to her and inspires her at every moment: Cape Verde.

Eight years after her debut in 2014, the year she was discovered by producer José Da Silva - who is also responsible for introducing Cesaria Evora to
the world - Elida Almeida measures how far she has come. Thus she names her 5th album Di Lonji, 'From far away'.'I come from very far away,' she
confirms. I come from a country that, a few decades ago, was not even on the world map... Above all, I come from the interior of the island of
Santiago, from a countryside so deep, so remote, that most of its inhabitants never leave it. I have visited 50 countries, won many prizes, and spread
