Initially planning to simply visit her wealthy friend Crystal (Nieves Navarro, DEATH WALKS AT MIDNIGHT), the depressed damsel soon finds herself falling into a series of increasingly sensual encounters, while fixing her lustful attentions on Crystal's comely daughter Pia (Annie Belle, LIPS OF BLOOD and HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK).
Sexually charged, beautifully photographed (by Gastone di Giovanni, THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE), edited by the notorious Bruno Mattei (HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD) and almost entirely free of conventional narrative trappings, EMANUELLE: BLACK VELVET is the directorial work of frequent Federico Fellini co-writer Brunello Rondi (8 1/2, LA DOLCE VITA) and also stars Italian exploitation legend Al Cliver (Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE).
