Description

The first domestic release for Emil Bulls, their 7th studio album will appeal to fans of Caliban and The Sorrow.

In view of EMIL BULLS's seventh album and, believe it or not, 16 years of band history, you'd be justified to talk of an era. Few contemporaries from their genre have clocked up such a long record and been able to build such a faithful and constantly growing fan base. Countless festivals and shows have thrilled old as well as new fans, not for nothing is the band extremely popular among concert promoters, seeing that they nonchalantly succeed in uniting a wide variety of fan communities. Trends have come and gone, the death of rock music was announced, and its resurrection celebrated - while EMIL BULLS continued unperturbed on their chosen path, establishing themselves as their native country's number one in a genre which can't simply be labelled alternative rock.

Their new album, OCEANIC, had to and has successfully surpassed the triumph of their album success, PHOENIX, from 2009. The initial phase of songwriting was tough, demanding, and full of frustration, arguments and uncertainty. But those are factors which always take a band to their target - an album without barriers, without considerations of being scolded by the critics or loved by their fans; anything was allowed and was followed through unconditionally, down to the very last detail. Be it electronic gadgets, trumpets, bombastic choirs, Eighties guitar solos or vocoder voices, everything that helped to transport a songs' emotions was used and integrated.

'We've continued to perfect our style on Oceanic. This record is free of any stylistic or artistic constraints, and that's exactly what music should be like.'
