Description

New York Soul, Funk, Dance 1964-1980. 12" black vinyl EP.

Brandyfoot brings together seven recordings tracing Oscar 'Flame 'N' King' Richardson's restless journey through New York soul, funk, and dance music. From 1964-1980, the collection moves from raw R&B and hard-driving funk to disco-leaning dancefloor grooves, highlighting Richardson's distinctive vocals and his work with groups including the Sons of Darkness, the Bold Ones, and the Pazant Brothers. It captures the shifting sounds of New York's independent soul scene across two decades. 12' black vinyl EP.
