Featuring Fredrik Lundin, Bobo Stenson, Joel Illerhag and Peter Danemo. Three generations of Scandinavian jazz in dialogue.

Full Circle brings together three generations of Scandinavian jazz, uniting Danish saxophonist Fredrik Lundin, Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson, bassist Joel Illerhag and drummer Peter Danemo.
The album marks the first recording by Lundin and Danemo with Stenson, while also bringing the two longtime collaborators back to the musical territory of their critically acclaimed 1997 album Music for Dancers and Dreamers.

The album draws on the Scandinavian jazz tradition that emerged during the 1970s, shaped by open, melodic music with a strong sense of space, Nordic folk influences and a distinctive sound. Yet Full Circle is not an exercise in nostalgia. Lundin and Danemo wrote all nine compositions, creating music that reflects decades of musical experience while remaining open to development and discovery.

At the center of the album is the dialogue between four musicians from different generations. Bobo Stenson is one of the defining figures in Scandinavian jazz, with a career spanning collaborations with Don Cherry, George Russell, Jan Garbarek and Charles Lloyd, as well as more than 20 releases as leader or sideman on ECM. Fredrik Lundin has been a major figure on the Danish and Scandinavian jazz scenes since the early 1980s and has received five Danish Music Awards, the Carl Prize and the Ben Webster Prize.

Peter Danemo is one of Sweden's distinguished jazz musicians and composers, while Joel Illerhag represents the quartet's youngest generation. Born in Sweden and based in Denmark, his wide-ranging playing brings a fresh perspective to the quartet's shared musical language.

Full Circle captures these four musicians listening and responding to one another, creating a melodic and open sound where Scandinavian jazz tradition, experience and renewal meet.
