1 Prelude
The band find their place in the studio and get reacquainted with their instruments.

2 Pilgrim
A composition about travel written while traveling. The pilgrim journeys across mountains and vast deserts in search of the holy land. Sometimes he finds himself on a rather underwhelming trip with FlixBus.

3 West
An interlude based on a live recording from my first semester concert of NoCom in 2017 featuring the wonderful Henrik Büller on baritone saxophone.

4 Mr. BK
The infamous beard and knot is the unofficial dress code of the NoCom master program. A symbol of true artistic integrity.

5 Aisha
Written in the living room of composer Kristian Blak while at a residency on the Faroe Islands in 2018. This little tune is dedicated to his cat Aisha who kept stealing water from my glass at night.

6 Louis in Bluesian
Some things never die. The blues being one of them.

7 Louis the Vagabond
A man searching for a way back to what was. A comical composition rooted in the past with its eyes set on an uncertain future.

8 Louis in Hindsight
Peace at last, but at what cost?

9 Under Ground
Conceived in the basement of the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg aptly nicknamed 'The Artist', this tune reflects on what it means to be part of the underground, or perhaps just under ground. Who knows?

10 Shelter
Based on field recordings of air-raid sirens, this interlude acknowledges the paradox of the eerie sounds of war in a country at peace, while so many live in fear.

11 Warsong
Of war I know little. Of peace I have plenty. I wish it was easier to share.
