Hypnoseas is the second album by Gus Ring. Originating from the DIY scene, the album is recorded &mixed by Gus in his closet studio. Intimate, dreamy & melancholic moments frozen in time and caught on tape. The lyrical themes are of loneliness, love and introversion. In a world full of perfect productions and auto-tuned vocals Hypnoseas is an album that is honest, pure and straight from the heart.

Gus main instrument is the acoustic guitar which on certain songs is played in a unique way - using a stick made for meditation bowls. The album also features instruments like trumpet, piano, glockenspiel and percussion made with clothes-hangers. The artwork is made up of drawings by Gus on photographs taken by his brother Ludwig which creates a vision of mysterious seas that goes hand in hand with the oceanic metaphors of the lyrics. Hypnoseas consists of 10 honest, intimate and diverse songs recorded over two years of time. Mastered by Alf HÃ¥kan Ã…kesson (Weeping Willows, Dungen, First Aid Kit).
