Torbjörn Iwan Lundquist, whose oeuvre embraced traditional forms as well as music for film, theater, and radio plays, was one of the most versatile, original Swedish composers of the twentieth century. In this CD, Helmut C. Jacobs, accordion, performs works by the composer, whose polyphony is based mainly on jazz models and melodic writing is influenced by Nordic folklore and baroque music.
