With their new album, the band Imandra has grabbed the poems of Kanteletar, a parallel work by the Kalevala. The seven-track mini-album Kanteletar will be released on CD now and on streaming services in late summer 2021.Kanteletar is a collection of Finnish folk poems, the first edition of which was published by Elias Lönnrot in 1840. The epic Kalevala had been published five years earlier.
