The fifth part of the recording series JUGEND - ART NOUVEAU, the history of organ and organ art, Lehtola, Jan presents four instruments that are significant cultural - historical examples from the golden age of the Finnish organ building. What is special about the organ on this record is that none of it has been built into a church space. Two of the instruments are made in the artists âworkspaces, one in the factory ballroom and one in the private chapel of the influential businessman. The repertoire is based on Finnish national romantic compositions with the interpretive reservations that the smaller chamber organs place on the works.
