This 1990 performance is regarded by Jazz Passengers' Roy Nathanson as 'our best concert in that period for sure'.
When Roy Nathanson, Curtis Fowlkes and Marc Ribot decided to no longer function as John Lurie's Lounge Lizards, they formed the Jazz Passengers. At this 1990 show they already had canned 3 studio albums, enough to present a staggering programme. From Zappa-esque original 'The Faker' to the warmhearted (at least before it explodes) jazz standard 'Angel Eyes'. It all is what Jazz should stand for.
