Originally released in 1989 this album brought much recognition to Jeff with the album receiving 'Most Added' from the Gavin Radio Report. Equally there were positive reports in the Mac Report and Jazziz. The album features Mark Isham, Christopher Cross, Domenic Genova, Dave Karasony, Todd Carlon and Judd Miller the EVI player. Jeff Richman's extensive professional background includes performing, composing, arranging and recording music in many genres. A graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, he lived and performed in New York City with Conga player, Ray Barretto. He later toured with Flora Purim and Airto and played with Chico Hamilton, Deodato, Blood Sweat and Tears, Willie Bobo and Gerry Mulligan. In 1979 Jeff moved to Los Angeles and toured with Ronnie Laws and Doc Severnson's band. In 2009, he performed with Billy Cobham, Russell Ferrante, and Jimmy Haslip. Jeff has produced and released 16 solo albums. His first was 'Himalaya' in 1986 and his latest, 'Like That' is a collection of new and original compositions and features Alex Acuna, Vinnie Colauita, Mitchel Forman, Larry Goldings, Steve Hass, Deron Johnson, William Kennedy, Neils Stubenhaus and Dean Taba. Other solo CD's include Aqua (Nefer 2008), Trio Loco [w/ Jimmy Haslip & Danny Gottlieb] (EFA 2001), Apache [duo w/ Wayne Johnson] (Miramar 1999), Sand Dance (Alchemy 1998), Last Arrival (Lipstick 1996), The Blue Heart (Lipstick 1994), The Way In (MGI 1991), Fingerpaints (MGI 1990), and People Like Us (ITI/Capitol 1989).
