With Johannes Brahms' three violin sonatas, Anne Harvey-Nagl and John O'Donnell present a central part of his oeuvre, whilst also showcasing their own long-standing collaboration. Anne Harvey-Nagl says: 'My acquaintance with the magnificent musician John O'Donnell dates back to my youth and thus to the very beginnings of my life as a professional violinist. I consider it a great privilege to have performed Brahms' sonatas, which mean so much to me, with him on numerous occasions in Australia. In this context, I feel that my homeland, Australia, and my second home, Austria - where Brahms himself had found a second home - merge in a special way.'
