This release contains the classic John Coltrane& Cannonball Adderley album Cannonball &Coltrane, also known as Quintet in Chicago in its entirety. The LP showcases Cannonball and Coltrane sharing the front line at a time when both saxophonists were members of the Miles Davis Sextet. This was their only conjunct recording without Miles. As a bonus, we have included the complete Coltrane quartet LP Mating Call, which paired him with the great pianist and composer Tadd Dameron.
