At a time when most singers think of retiring, Gayer reinvents herself in her own personal renaissance, proving she is passionately engaged in life. Gayer's love of Broadway and theatre started at seven years of age in Philadelphia, and her operatic career has taken her all over the world. She has appeared in the world premieres of Tobias Picker's Emmeline (PBS) and Fantastic Mr. Fox, Sir Andre Previn's Streetcar Named Desire (PBS), Minoro Miki's A Tale of Genji, and David Carlson's Anna Karenina.
