Kælan Mikla started in early 2013, after winning a poetry slam at the City of Reykjavik library. In the summer of 2014, before synthesizers, before any external electronic instruments, purely raw, bass and drum, Alison MacNeil (Kimono) recorded the band's first album, Mánadans. Never before released on CD or vinyl, Mánadans now gets a deluxe worldwide issue via Toronto-based Artoffact Records.
