'Ieria' is the 3rd album of Greek hard rockers KAISAS, featuring 9 international singers, among them David Reece (Accept, Bangalore Choir), Ian Parry (Elegy), Alan Kelly (Shy), Paul Jackson (Roadhouse).
Musical influences, fall generally into the hard rock/heavy metal category. Bands
like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, WASP, Dokken, Iron Maiden, Bonfire, Metallica,
Megadeth, and a ton of others, have been influential through the years.
The goal is to create songs, that have something to say, no matter what the 'label'
on them, to not sound like everybody else around, and to not make the same album,
from album to album. Something that the critics (whether in favor or not) have
noticed.
Babis has been blessed, with the company of some great musicians, all around
through the years, on all three (3) released albums. Tony Mills (SHY/TNT),
Mark Evans (Heavens Edge), Alan Kelly (SHY), Allen Brunelle (Mystic Force),
etc.
IERIA is no exception. With fellow Greek drummer, Fotis Nestor Canister (who
also does a lot of pre-production) on his side (second time, after 'Martyria'),
have gathered a plethora of nine (9) singers, from all over the world, which blend
in very nicely, and bring to life, the concept that is IERIA.
IERIA is inspired by, and dedicated to the female nature throughout history. From
the ancient days, to today.
'Birmingham Lights', is in memory of Tony Mills, and SHY.
