József Sári was a leading figure of 20th and 21st century Hungarian music. Together with pianist László Borbély, they worked for several years on a selection of his solo piano pieces. The album includes works that reinterpret early music and Baroque genres from a 20th- and 21st-century perspective, as well as works that draw on folk music and repetitive musical influences.
