The spectacular review of pianist Liisa Pohjola's life's work will be published as a collection of three CDs. Her repertoire has covered the whole spectrum of piano music, but she has made a particularly significant contribution as an interpreter of piano literature of our time and as an inspirer for composers. Pohjola has performed music by numerous Finnish composers, including Erik Bergman, Usko Meriläinen and Mikko Heiniö, and has premiered dozens of works. As a musician, Pohjola is known for his unfailing musical instincts and exceptionally vivid, temperamental performances. The repertoire of the collection has been compiled from Finnish Broadcasting Companys recordings for 35 years (1969-2004).
