Description
Originally released in 1978 on the Brain label, the band's only work combined 'ambient' synth elements with rock, jazz and 'exotic' experiments.
Liliental was formed during Dieter Moebius' creative hiatus from the Krautrock band Cluster. Moebius was supported by Kraan members Helmut Hattler (electric bass), Johannes Pappert (alto saxophone), Okko Becker (keyboards, vocals, guitar, percussion) and Asmus Tietchens (Moog, grand piano). Conny Plank, who also played on several Cluster albums, completed the quartet on guitar, keyboards and vocals.

The 1978 album 'Liliental' by the band Liliental is a unique piece of music history.
With this album, the band members, including Conny Plank and Dieter Moebius, created an extraordinary soundscape that was as catchy as it was sophisticated, in some ways more versatile than the subsequent Cluster albums.
The songs on Liliental are characterized by hypnotic rhythms, virtuoso instrumental passages and haunting vocal interludes.
An album not to be missed by lovers of experimental music.
