A collaboration of extreme importance to Chinese indigenous music pairing pipa great Lin Shi-Cheng with world renown conductor Hu Ping-Hsu. Mr Shi-Cheng is one of the most revered pipa artists in the world.A professor in China's Central Conservatory, he has served as a main voice for this music in various Associations, Boards and ensembles. Having studied with mentor Shen Hao-Chu, the master of southern China's significant pipa Pu-Tung Group, Mr Shi-Cheng know plays a crucial part in the way this music influences southern China. Touring to international acclaim,, he is also a doctor of Chinese medicine, bringing a personal healing style to his work.
Conductor Hu Ping-Hsu has conducted for over 20 years, spanning works for orchestra, symphony, opera, dance drama, folk-drama, Peking-Opera, movies & TV. By merging Chinese and western styles, They are able to promote this style to a wide and diverse audience.
