Description
Time to Grow Up.
Shawn, a young drop-out at a loss since his mother's death, lives with his father and his little sister Julie. He fills his days pilfering scrap and playing videos with his friend Matt. But when his dad falls drunk off a scaffold, Shawn finds himself orphaned and penniless. Without telling him, his aunt immediately files with the court for Julie's custody. To be fair, Shawn inspires confidence from no one except his dog, Richard.
Wounded in his pride, Shawn figures he is going to take care of his sister. Although they've always lived under the same roof, he knows her about as well as the people living down the street. But then there's life insurance money coming, lots of it, enough to keep playing video games forever. Unfortunately, it turns out it's a lot more difficult to take care of a little girl than to jump levels on a Playstation.
