Lomor deliver pure old-school Thrash from Réunion Island with "Sabouk Rouge" - fast, raw and powerful for fans of Slayer and Testament.

Lomor return with 'Sabouk Rouge', their second full-length and a fierce statement from Réunion Island's rising Thrash Metal power trio. Formed in 2018 by Eric Castelnau (vocals, guitars), Gurvan Cambrai (drums) and Mathieu 'Micha' Michalina (bass), the band blends old-school Thrash with punk and core energy inspired by Slayer, Testament and Kreator. After their debut 'Perseverance of Sickness' (2022) and the Kanyar Tour across France - including shows with Mass Hysteria and Akiavel - Lomor recorded 'Sabouk Rouge' with Sébastien Camhi at Studio Art Music (France) and Kai Stahlenberg at Kohlekeller Studio (Germany).

The album title refers to the sabouk, a whip used during slavery on the island - a brutal symbol of humanity's violence and madness. 'We wanted to evoke the history of slavery which has profoundly marked our island,' says Eric. 'Blood and red represent that violence, while the white background reflects coldness and insanity.'

Across eleven tracks, Lomor deliver fast, raw and varied Thrash marked by social awareness, irony and Creole identity. 'Sabouk Rouge', 'La Haine' and 'Panzram' channel anger and reflection, 'A Shiny Day for a Vampire' and 'Sanctuary' explore darker imagination while 'La Pouss'' humorously celebrates local street racing. The album closes with 'Kit' Ta Mère', a cover from Eric's first band Black Babouk, tying past and present together.

Described by the band as 'Creole thrash old-school stuff,' Lomor's sound is authentic and alive - no clicks, no samples, just amps and attitude. As Rock Hard France stated, 'Lomor can stand toe to toe with Havok, Warbringer or Evile without any problem,' and Legacy Magazine praised their 'fast and aggressive metal with touches of hardcore and punk to keep it fresh.'
