Luis Tinoco is one of the most exciting young Portuguese composers of his generation. His music is inventive, rhythmical and very lively. He was written for large and small scale forces including several operas and has been performed all over the world. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and York University in England. Tinoco authors and produces new music radio programmes for Antena 2 / RTP and lectures at his alma mater, the Escola Superior de Música in Lisbon, of which he is also the vice-principal. Soprano Eileen Hulse is featured in this CD together with Lontano, conductor Odaline de la Martinez.
