The pieces appearing on this CD share the influence of Macedonian folk music traditions. The inclusion of these elements is not fully conscious, but an unconscious , spontaneous impetus to embrace these elements, as a result of the composer living outside of Macdeonia since 1994. The works explore physicality in music including stamping while playing and creating roughness and irregularity of tempo and sound. The disc includes performances by the violinist Peter Sheppard Skaerved, the Kreutzer Quartet, and Lontano, conducctor Odaline de la Martinez.
