A Craftsman at Work

1982. Louisiana Red having made a name in Britain, was making inroads into the American scene. This DVD was made as interest in him was spreading. Louisiana Red. One man, many guitars, a multitude of styles and musical approaches and a deep humanity and commitment to the music. Here, he runs the gamut of styles - a heavy, rocky sound on Nothing But The Blues, some delightful acoustic on songs such as Little Boy, Love Me True and Grease Me Baby and a whole bagful of approaches to 'standard' guitar blues items. And the little chats with Jerry are delightful too. Time to tell more of the history of guys like Louisiana Red who we maybe took a little for granted but who nonetheless were true blues legends
