Percussionist Marilyn Mazur has toured and played in the bands of some of the jazz world's great masters, including Gil Evans, Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis. She would end up leaving Davis's project to realize her own, returning to her native Denmark to create her 'dream band' - Future Song, which came into being in 1989.
In January 2015, to celebrate her 60th birthday, her greatest wish was to reunite the group with some of the original musicians. They succeeded and the resulting recordings can now be heard on Future Song - Live Reflections. The album contains versions of nine Mazur compositions, including two previously unreleased from 1990 and 2008.
