Beginning with English-language selections, the tenor offers effortlessly idiomatic renditions of nine songs ranging from popular ballads of the 1950s to 19th century operetta. He then ventures into classic Neapolitan and Italian song before alighting in the world of opera for four arias and a soaring duet. Rarities abound throughout, including two live performances that are models of intelligent operatic singing.
