He addresses the question of 'whether so-called 'classical' music ought to have come to an end with the latest fragmentism of Nono and a waft of Sciarrino' by pursuing a post-structuralist constructivism that reinvents a compositional space bounded by two French linguistic poles: Boulez and Debussy.
