Exactly 30 years after his passing, listening to this previously unreleased recording that took place at the Tavernetta on Via Sampieri 3 in Bologna, Massimo Urbani resurfaces from oblivion to show us his greatness. On that December 15, 1982, the saxophonist treated those present to an unforgettable evening together with Tonolo, RiccardoZegna, Luciano Milanese and Gianni Cazzola, respectively on tenor saxophone, piano, double bass and drums. That evening returns to us a lucid, incisive, inspired Urbani, capable of improvisations now torrential, now emotional, often in complete freedom of expression.
