In 1981, Austin Texas-based Bear Family recording star Michael Ballew was signed to Liberty Records. Two singles were released, Your Daddy Don't Live In Heaven and Pretending Fool. Both hit the country charts and an album was planned but never released. Now Bear Family is making all of Michael Ballew's Liberty recordings available... the two singles plus the unreleased album.

It's hard rocking country music, but it should be because it features the Kim Carnes band. Anyone who dug Michael Ballew's Bear Family CDs will go for this, and anyone who likes left-of-center country music with a tough urban drive should check it out.
