Description
'...fiery guitarist...provocative songwriter.....blues for our times...' WXPN-FM Philadelphia
This ballsy album by Michael Hill has as much 'rock' in its roll as it has the blues. At the time, it was a lonely but prescient insight into the world to come. Included are a couple of forthright songs criticising America's war in Iraq and George Bush in particular. Hill says of the album, 'It speaks of two things of great importance to me. One is justice, peace and freedom for all people, things which are so often usurped by greed for oil (black gold), money and power. The other, equally important, is celebration of some of the beauty that always persists in life despite humankind's foibles - love, sensuality and women.'
And the album's celebration of the mighty Hubert Sumlin has one unique extra: Mr Hubert Sumlin himself.
JSP's SACDs have a Super Audio Surround Sound layer but are compatible with all CD players for a regular CD Price.
