Nihilisticon is a reunion amongst old friends. Avantgarde Music happens to be the label behind Över and Nyss, two bands where two of the three multi-faceted and restless musicians here involved are currently involved. Behind A Mask A Metaphor Is Written is the sophomore album by this trio scattered all over the planet: Þórir, on the bass guitar, is French but currently UK-based, Funus, the singer from Över and several other bands is from Ecuador and runs Heterodoxo Black Metal Zine, while Gnev, the composer of all the music, is German.
With such a heterogeneous origin, Nihilisticon could be but unpredictable. Melodic black metal with atmosphere, ice-cold riffs, refined keyboards, relentless blast-beats and inhuman screams. If you feel like a journey into the unknown, let Behind A Mask... be your Charon.
