Description
Four Classic Short Subjects From The Silent Era!
A tremendous collection of some of the funniest movies ever produced! Now a whole new generation will be able to rediscover the appeal of these two-reel silent masterpieces. These delightful comedies date as far back as 1917 and have been unseen in decades. These little comedic gems have been lovingly restored and are offered on DVD for the very first time! GRANDMA'S CHILD - A delightful farce featuring Bobby Ray, a minor comedian from New York. Ray physically resembled Stan Laurel and co-starred with Oliver Hardy in four Mirthquake Comedies in 1925. AWAY WE GO (1924) - Bobby Vernon was a talented comic actor during the silent era, who became a writer and comedy supervisor at Paramount for W.C. Fields and Bing Crosby, when the sound era arrived. Here Vernon stars with Duane Thompson, Lila Leslie and Victor Rodman in a 1924 classic originally released as 'Reno or Bust.' CHOOSE YOUR WEAPONS (1922) - Bobby Vernon stars in another funny film for producer/director Al Christie. His co-stars are Charlotte Stevens, Earle Rodney, Maude Truax and Lincoln Plumer. SKYLARKING (1923) - A Mack Sennett comedy featuring Harry Gribbon as an inventor of a flying 1923 Model T! Co-starring Lila Leslie, Kewpie Morgan, Alberta Vaughan, Josephine Adair and Jackie Lucas.
