Description
Some mighty fine pickin' and singin' from Hamburg, Germany.
~ some mighty fine pickin' and singin' ~ Now here's an odd little stringband with a truly unique sound! There's lots of swing and melody in it and just the right amount of fingersnippin' rock`nôroll to wake the sleeping beauties of american oldschool-pop and get them dancing. What sounds like a band from way back when is a lively, little outfit that may very well soon become your favourite four piece close harmony washboard band from Hamburg/Germany. There's a mighty groove, charming voices and a mean choice of song pearls. Call it western swing, if you want - but without a hat. Instead we have four guys on a mission: author and songwriter JaâRN INGWERSEN is always willing to push his beaten jazz guitar to the speed limit, driven by fearless bluegrass rocker BORIS SUNDMACHER's wide range of self-built instruments and the always, always groovy EBERHARD MAROLD on the upright bass. These three singers are backed by the incomparable washboard master GUNTHER ANDERNACH, deeply rooted in the history of old-timey jazz and just plain fun to watch.
