West coast jump blues session by Pul Pigat's Cousin Harley trio with special guests Chris Gestrin, Cory Weeds and Derry Byrne.

'Cousin Harley plays the Blues' is the 9th release from the Vancouver based trio lead by guitarist/vocalist Paul Pigat. Although primarily known as a Rockabilly/Western Swing virtuoso with a lush baritone voice, Pigat is also a huge fan of west coast jump blues so it is natural that he finally dedicated an entire record to the genre. Recorded at the Warehouse in Vancouver, Canada, this record features the core Cousin Harley trio of Paul Pigat (Guitar and Vocals), Jesse Cahill (drums) and Jeremy Holmes (Bass), who are also joined by Vancouver heavy weights Chris Gestrin (keys), Cory Weeds (tenor), Jerry Cook (tenor/baritone), and Derry Byrne (trumpet) for this very special session. Together, this lineup transforms into a classic, early 50s pre-rock n' roll dance band.
