Perry Como started his singing career in the 1930s but once he started recording in 1943 there was no stopping him. From 1943 until 1974 he placed 147 songs in the charts with 14 in the top spot, and 22 albums in the albums chart. Como's hugely popular TV series ran from the early 1950s to 1963.
