Description
Amazing live 1978 set recorded at My Fathers Place and simulcast by WLIR Tosh was a core original member of the Wailers.
In 1978, a year after becoming the first reggae artist signed to Rolling Stones Records, Peter Tosh headlined an intimate concert at My Father's Place in Roslyn, New York. Promoted and broadcast live by local radio station WLIR, the show quickly sold out and the air was electric when the former Wailer took the stage. Backed by his band (Word, Sound & Power), Tosh performed songs from his then-current Bush Doctor album ('Bush Doctor,' 'Pick Yourself Up'), previous hits ('Legalize It,' 'Stepping Razor'), and a classic from his time with Bob Marley & the Wailers ('Get Up, Stand Up'), among other selections. Now, RockBeat Records is proud to make this concert available on vinyl for the very first time.
