Pitch Black's third album, re-released with bonus remix disc

Ape To Angel returns in an expanded deluxe edition celebrating Pitch Black's acclaimed third studio album. Originally released in 2004, the New Zealand electronic duo elevated their signature fusion of dub, ambient, breakbeat, and electronica with deeper bass, richer production, and increasingly adventurous songwriting. The album introduced their first fully vocal composition, 'Elements Turn,' featuring Sandy Mill, while tracks such as 'Lost In Translation' incorporated sampled Estonian satellite transmissions into the duo's richly textured sound design.

Widely praised upon release, including a five-star review from DJ Mag, Ape To Angel launched an extensive forty-two-date international tour and introduced Pitch Black to North American audiences through Waveform Records. The album's music later reached an even wider audience through placements in CSI: Miami and HBO's True Blood, where 'Freefall' accompanied one of the series' memorable scenes.

This expanded 2-CD edition includes the complete original album alongside an entire bonus disc of remixes spanning numerous electronic styles, showcasing the versatility of Pitch Black's compositions and the respect they command across the international electronic music community.
