I knew [Product] for quite some time now since Michael Kurt, the lead singer, also runs a blog on EBM and Industrial called A Dark Figure. He interviewed me for his blog, and said he was in a band called [product] and sent me an mp3. It was a good song, and i played it in my DJ sets here in the Netherlands. So when the new list of promo's came in for Brutal Resonance, I immediately took the [Product] release for review. Hoping it wouldn't suck, and fortunately, it doesn't! The music itself is not really original. It's darkelectro somewhere in the same branch as Tactical Sekt, [:SITD:], Suicide Commando and such. But it is executed well, and the songs are catchy as hell and very well suited for the dancefloor. The raw vocals also remind me strongly of NitroNoise, which has become a well known act in Darkelectro now, so if you are into that, you get more of that from [product]. My personal favorites on this album are Greed with its [:SITD:] like infectieus lead melody, the heavy disco-EBM thump of the titletrack and the atmospheric Death. The track i got earlier is also on it. It's called Everything falls apart and is not even the best track, so if that was already in my DJ sets, some songs of this album are going to be loaded on my DJ laptop pretty soon! 'I, Omega' is a very solid well produced EBM album which will appeal to fans of acts like NitroNoise, Suicide Commando, Tactical Sekt and such. If that is your thang, you are going to love this album. Not much originality, but there is nothing wrong with some solid hard thumping EBM so get it if you like to stomp! 1 The Last Battle 3:46 2 Lungs Full Of Water 5:50 3 Brackish 3:43 4 Greed [The Second Skin] 6:36 5 Imminent 5:46 6 The Decline 4:40 7 Death [A New Beginning] 6:13 8 Everything Falls Apart 3:57 9 I, Omega 5:24 10 An Era Of Agony 4:45 11 Provoke [9mm Intervention] 5:39 12 Blind Indifference 2:58 Credits Artwork â€' Vlad McNeally Mastered By â€' X-Fusion Music Production* Written-By, Producer â€' Michael Kurt Notes Written and produced in Portland, OR in 2011-2012.
