Description
Radical Friendship Theory was formed through a collection of like-minded musicians.
Radical Friendship Theory is a collaborative musical project born from an extraordinary community of like-minded musicians brought together by singer-songwriter Robert Rotifer. What began with a conversation encouraging Kenji to return to singing evolved into a richly arranged collection featuring contributions from John Howard, The Zew, Helen McCookerybook, Ian Button, and a circle of friends spanning Glasgow, Kent, London, Berlin, and southern Spain. The result is less a conventional band than a celebration of creative partnership and shared artistic purpose.
Written primarily by Robert Rotifer, with a moving interpretation of Kate Wolf's 'Across The Great Divide,' the album travels effortlessly through baroque pop, psychedelic pop, country rock, and literate indie music. Every participant contributes lead vocals while joining together in layered harmonies, transforming the very concept of friendship into the album's central musical and lyrical theme.
Limited to just 300 vinyl copies, Radical Friendship Theory stands as both a heartfelt collection of beautifully crafted songs and a celebration of genuine human connection in an increasingly digital world. A CD edition is also available.
