Alongside tenor saxophonist Ralph Moore are pianist Dave Kikoski, bassist Peter Washington and drummer Lewis Nash, three masters whose resumes speak for themselves. Recorded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and funded by Creative BC's Record in BC program, Convergence is a meeting of friends, kindred spirits and master musicians who understand that great jazz is ultimately about communication. The album features a 4 brand new compositions by David Kikoski. The title track, from the pen of Ralph Moore is composed for this session. Rounding out the proceedings are 3 cleverly arranged jazz standards.
