Roscoe Mitchell 25 Piece Orchestra Returns with an Outstanding Follow up to it's 2017 release 'Discussions'

Recorded March 19th and 20th 2018 in the Littlefield Auditorium at Mills College in Oakland, California. Roscoe Mitchell has held the chair of composition at Mills College, once held by esteemed composer Darius Milhaud, for over a decade.

Encompassing intriguing instrumentation with full written orchestrations by Mr Mitchell, this recording contains performances by many notable musicians and is of the highest quality.

Roscoe Mitchell was recently announced as recipient of the 2020 A.B. Spellman NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship for Jazz Advocacy, the nation's highest honor in jazz.
