Fascinated by the connections between music, art and literature, the French-Dutch violist Sào Soulez Larivière gets on this CD to the bottom of the mutual influence of the different artistic disciplines. Inspired by one of his favorite paintings: Monet's 'Impression' Sào compiled a program with works by Clarke, Hindemith, Debussy, Enescu and Takemitsu as they all share the language of Impressionism.
